This bakery-restaurant hybrid excels in delivering an impressive variety of dishes, with a menu that beautifully balances comforting classics and indulgent treats. Regular patrons rave about the Fried Chicken Parm Sandwich, a crispy, juicy masterpiece that has earned a perfect 10/10 from Kelli Cox. This sandwich alone beckons visitors from near and far, including those willing to navigate multiple transit lines just to savor its layers of tender chicken, tangy marinara, and melted cheese.
For those with a sweet tooth, Royal Crown Bakery is nothing short of a treasure trove. The Cannoli Cream Filled Lobster Tail enchants with flaky, buttery pastry shells filled with luxuriously smooth ricotta cream, perfectly balancing texture and sweetness. The Chocolate Crumb Bun and Tiramisu showcase the bakery’s finesse with traditional Italian desserts, while the Fruit Cheesecake attracts admirers for its creamy richness and fresh fruit topping. Haider Iqbal's praise of the Tres Leches Cake highlights how well-crafted their desserts are—each bite delivering a harmonious texture and beautifully balanced flavor that feels indulgent yet refined.
But Royal Crown doesn’t stop at sweets. Their savory offerings are just as memorable. From the vibrant Chicken Caesar Salad and hearty Penne Pasta with Sausage and Broccoli Rabe to fresh and crisp Seafood Salad, every dish is prepared with care using quality ingredients. Appetizers like the perfectly fried or grilled calamari and shrimp come with an ideal blend of seasoning and crunch, making them the perfect starters or light bites.
The atmosphere inside Royal Crown Bakery is warm and bustling, filled with the friendly buzz of satisfied customers. The owner’s hands-on involvement, often personally attending to diners, adds an authentic, welcoming touch that elevates the overall dining experience. Andrew Matthews, a frequent visitor, aptly describes Royal Crown as a "premier deli" where you can find everything from gigantic hero sandwiches to an impressive premade counter featuring pizza, pasta, and salads—all inviting you to explore an array of flavors in one stop.
For bagel aficionados, Royal Crown is in a league of its own. Zo Maq, a devoted regular, confidently claims they have "the best bagels in NYC," with the chocolate chip bagel standing out as a heavenly treat that’s satisfyingly soft and decadently chocolaty all on its own—no cream cheese needed. Their olive bread, vibrant with flavorful pockets of olives and a delightfully airy texture, further cements the bakery’s reputation for excellence in breads.
While most visits are smooth sailing, with prompt seating and friendly service, there have been some isolated lapses in customer assistance during busy times—something the bakery is likely aware of and striving to improve upon to match the high quality of their food and ambiance.
Ultimately, Royal Crown Bakery is much more than just a local eatery; it’s a destination that captures the essence of Staten Island’s culinary heart. Whether you're stopping by for a hearty breakfast, grabbing a decadent pastry, or celebrating a special occasion with a personalized birthday cake, the passion and craftsmanship behind every product will delight your palate and leave you eager to return.

MUST TRY!! We took the subway to the ferry and a 40 minute bus to try this restaurant and we weren’t disappointed! I can’t say better things about this establishment. First and foremost you must try the Fried Chicken Parm Sandwich 10/10.There was 6 of us and we were sat immediately, in and out within an hour. The owner was our waiter and he was excellent! Loved the atmosphere! Affordable, great portions, delicious and the best way to spend our first time in Staten Island
We’ve been here twice this week it’s so good. Gigantic hero sandwiches and so many baked goods and treats it’s hard to wrap your head around. They also have a full pre-made counter with pizza, pasta, salads, olives etc. This is a premier deli and if you’re on the Island it’s a much-see restaurant.
I've been coming here for years & firmly believe they have the best bagels on NYC. Their chocolate chip bagel in & of itself is so damn heavenly, you don't even need to put cream Cheese on it. It's chocolaty & soft all by itself. They have a huge selection of breads & cakes to choose from. I tried the Olive bread which absolutely phenomenal. It's soft & airy with s ton of olives stuffed inside of it. Got a cake from here for my birthday as well. Staff is friendly & they work fast like a well oiled machine.
This bakery is a Hidden Gem! . I tried the tres leches cake and mini Pizza, it was absolutely delicious. The textures were perfect, and the flavors were rich yet balanced. The presentation was beautiful, and the desserts tasted just as amazing as they looked. A must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth!
This bakery is always busy, been there several times and each time it is always crowded but everything I've tried is delicious and well cooked. HOWEVER, one day, we decided to dine in because they were not that crowded back in December2024, we asked one of the waiter where we can get help to order, he strangely looked at us and said: he doesn't know and he is working there. Because he went to help another table. We waited about 5 to 10 minutes, one of the waitresses who were passing by, we asked her, and she helped us to get a table and took our orders. But honestly, the waiter or whatever his position is, the way he looked at us, was very unprofessional, and he is being selective on which people to assist there. Since December, we have stuck to takeout. The bakery offers a wide variety of fresh pastries, cakes, and cookies, including delicious cannoli and tiramisu. I love their latte. Tuna Hero, and grilled rib eye steak hero are my favs.
We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon in October for some treats while traveling. The bakery was recommended by a bartender in Raleigh, NC, who we met on a different trip and he was from Long Island. The parking lot was full when we arrived. We parked around the corner on the street. The line to order was backed out to the door but it moved pretty fast. There is a lot of baked goods here. Having never been here before we weren’t sure what to try so we got a few cookies, a couple mini cannolis and a slice of cake to go. I only got a picture of the cake but you can see the cookies in the pictures of the displays I posted. Everything was excellent. The cookies were my favorite. The carrot cake had a bit of orange flavor to it which was surprising but I really enjoyed it. Nothing was overly sweetened either which was nice. Staff were friendly and fast moving. Their bakery products are in high demand from what we saw and after tasting them we understand why. We don’t have many authentic bakeries at home so this was a wonderful treat for us.
